The Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro is a standout addition to any gaming or productivity setup, especially if you're already immersed in the Razer ecosystem with devices like the Razer Blade Advanced 15, lancehead as mouse, the Razer Firefly V2 as mouse mat and laptop stand chroma. This keyboard is designed to deliver top-tier performance and customization, making it a great choice for both gaming and productivity. The build quality and design of the BlackWidow V4 Pro are impressive. It features a robust build with a matte black aluminum alloy top plate and a plastic chassis. The detachable, plushly-padded wrist rest adds comfort and extends the keyboard’s under glow with 20 additional RGB zones. This attention to detail in design ensures both durability and aesthetic appeal.Performance-wise, the BlackWidow V4 Pro excels with an 8000Hz polling rate and exceptionally low latency, making it incredibly responsive. The clicky Green switches are satisfying to use, although some users might find them inconsistent. This keyboard is built to meet the demands of intense gaming sessions and fast-paced typing.Customization is another strong suit of the BlackWidow V4 Pro. It comes with eight dedicated macro keys, a multi-function command dial, and full RGB backlighting. All keys are macro programmable, and the customization options through Razer Synapse are extensive. This allows users to tailor the keyboard to their specific needs and preferences. However, there are a few drawbacks. The keyboard has a large footprint, which might be an issue if desk space is limited. Additionally, customization is also heavily reliant on Razer Synapse, which might not be ideal for everyone.Overall, the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro is an excellent choice for gamers and productivity enthusiasts alike, offering a blend of performance, customization, and comfort. With a few tweaks, such as improved keycap durability and better lighting synchronization, it could be nearly perfect.

The lighting on the keyboard was bright and comfortable. It is extremely durable since the back was reinforced with a metal backplate, and the keys were quite quiet and felt good to press. In the razor application, you can customize every single button for colors or what shortcut they could do. The macro buttons on the side greatly helped in my work since you can also make them open other applications, shortcuts, and a lot more things.

I have used Razer products for many years. I have almost all razer products, it has always been such a solid product line for a long time, but this Keyboard has so many problems.1. Double Pressing on keys, I currently have 5 different keys on my keyboard that are consistently double pressing, and keep in mind this did this since day one.2. Not detecting key presses, I have had to literally just keep pressing the keys till if feels like working again.3. All RGB lights just randomly went out, there is a nob in the top right that toggles the RGB, it just randomly activates.4. Razer Synapse Platform, just a terrible program, I noticed the problem with double pressing actually gets worse when I had their own UI Installed, probably because it has the ability to change the polling on the keyboard, btw this also does not fix the issue. All in all my keyboard is brand new, perfectly clean, and has so many issues. Looking online it takes 2 seconds to realize everything I am saying is a fact of the current product.DO NOT BUY

EDIT: CHANGED TO 1 STAR. I am experiencing the double key presses, non responsive keys, etc that so many others are. just ordered a corsair. keyboard is completely unusable now. it took me 5 minutes to write this sentence because it is so buggy.Looks great, feels great, built well, performs well.2 dealbreakers causing me to replace:1. Media keys are not backlit so figuring out which one does which in the dark is super annoying.2. Razer software is unreliable buggy trash. No explanation needed here. Switching from razer to other peripherals forever. If you dont mind those 2 cons, this is an amazing tank of a keyboard.

Base of keyboard is nice and solid. No sliding around on desk thansk to that and the rubber feet of the keyboard. My problem with the keyboard is not anyone's fault. I did some research into keyboard switches and was looking for which switches required stronger pushing down on because I have shaky hands and wanted to reduce typos. Green and Blue switches were supposed to be the ones that have you push down harder than the rest according to multiple sites. The keys on this keyboard are too easy to push down and I make too many typos. I will have to deal with this since I made an investment in this keyboard which includes 3 year coverage through Amazon. I miss the Logitech G910.

I had recently upgraded to this from the V3 Pro, which always had some key tapping issues, or random repetitions happening. However, I would say that this product is a great improvement overall on it, as I have yet to find a single issue with it!

Keyboard was great when I first got it, however it eventually started typing 2 of a few letters even after tapping the key once. It was great, just don't get this. You'll thank me later.

Purchased the v4x keyboard with the yellow switches. PHENOMINAL keyboard. great silent linear switch and the sound and doesn't make your ears bleed after hours of use. keyboard looks plain enough without the lights on to be used at the office. Don't agonize over the purchase. Yes its expensive for a keyboard. but for the money its a solid purchase and I'm completely satisfied. it feels well build and love the fact it can be upgraded in the future. top plate aluminum bottom plastic. just get it .

The only reason I bought this was because my original Black Widow Chroma V2 got drenched in tea. So I go on the hunt and find out they no longer make that keyboard. I purchased two other Razer keyboards and even though they were great, nothing to me beats the Black Widow keyboards. The comfort of the wrist rest is great and it doesn't matter if I'm working, cruising the net or gaming, it's a comfortable go.I do love the color picking ability and I keep it on one color for everything and it looks awesome! You will have to be careful of the buttons on the left side of the keyboard but other than that the smoothness of typing is great. I am a very particular person when it comes to what my keyboard feels and sounds like. Yes, this is a "clicker" keyboard and I absolutely love that. The speed of typing is awesome, the response time keeps you moving, so no complaint there. The biggest complaint I have is the software. I never had a problem with it keeping my settings, starting back up after a reboot, opening up in general. I have all the buttons clicked for it to start up at boot, log in and everything, but 9 times out of 10 I have to open it back up, log in to Synapse and then it starts doing what I want. Also, I truly miss the Chroma extras of the headphone jack and usb port on the right side. This does have a usb port on the back, but you tend to forget about it because of the location. So, everything is great about this keyboard, some things take a little getting used to, like the roller wheel volume control, but like all new things it will grow on you. Is it worth the money, that all depends on your own personal preference. I broke down and spent the money because I knew I would be happy with keyboard and will last for years, as long as I don't spill tea on it.

Another great product from Razer, and since all of my gear is Razer, it only made sense to go with a Razer keyboard. I have the Green switches, and I've seen a few reviews of people saying how loud the green switches are, and I can tell you from experience, they are not as loud as I was expecting them to be. Razer says these are the Gen 2 Green Switches and are supposed to be better. A friend of mine has an older Razer keyboard with green switches and his keyboard is a bit louder than mine. I guess over time the keys will feel different and may sound a bit louder, but for the time being the tactile and clicky sound and feel is acceptable. Granted, I wouldn't recommend using this keyboard in an office or a school setting, but for everyday use, this keyboard is perfect.I haven't had a chance to use the keyboard to its full potential yet, but it does come with just about everything but the kitchen sink. There are a few miner annoyances with this keyboard. First of all, the Command Dial is too close to the Esc key, I think Razer could have left a bit more room between the two buttons. Secondly, it's very easy to accidentally press the 3 macro keys on the left-hand side of the keyboard, so I have mine disabled. Someone may find 8 macro keys useful, however, I think it's a bit overkill. Last but not least, you can tune this keyboard's polling rate all the way up to 8000 Hz, but realistically speaking, there is no real-world advantage to this, so for all intents and purposes, I feel 2000 Hz of polling is adequate for most users--gamers and everyday users, alike.
