I upgraded this so that I could have more capacity with planned expansion of my battery setup this summer. So far it's worked really well with my cobbled together solar battery system for the camp cottage that we go to on a regular basis. We've been going all winter and when we arrive the batteries are nicely topped up which wasn't always the case with the old controller we had so it's a recommendation right on that alone. Read the instructions and you'll be fine

I use this at my off the grid cottage to keep a battery bank constantly topped up while I am away via solar. I normally also have a generator AGS system attached to it as well. With this new charger, I will likely increase my battery bank system so I will have less need for the generator except for larger loads like the rarer hot night requiring some air conditioning. Very happy with the charge capacity and very much overkill for may needs but I hope to grow into it.

I purchase this when the add states it can be hook up parallelBut in fact it can not be hook that wayOnly A series connection or a Series - ParallelI know I can return but need to see if Series is good for me first
