We are very pleased with this stuff. Our patio furniture is old and the Rattan has faded and broken, leaving sharp edges. We were a little unsure when we opened the package and found the plastic rattan and some snips/pliers but no instructions. How hard can it be we thought, it must be like darning a sock which I know how to do. We started off with the small repairs (first two pictures) where we just had to run a lengthy piece , leaving as much of the broken rattan as possible - helps keep the new weave tight.. We found making a point on the rattan helped thread it through more easily.The pliers not only do a snip of the rattan, when closed they allow pressure to be exerted to allow threading. Considering we've never done anything like this before, we think we did an OK job :-)The difficult job came next, picture 3, where the plastic rattan would have to be both warp and weft. It took a lot longer as it was much more complicated and we wanted to keep the pattern as much as possible. As novices we are really pleased with the result. A professional would probably turn up their noses at our results, but this isn't something for sale, it's a simple repair to beloved furniture so we can continue to use it. It's our hope that the new rattan will fade in the sun and rain and match up with the rest.If you're looking to do a decent job and you don't expect perfection, this stuff is just what you want.
