I like RK's keyboards, at the price point I can keep one in the office and I'm not worried about an expensive custom keyboard being unattended 14 hours a day when I'm not there. This is very compact, and may not be what you need if you use function keys, the 10 key, or other extra keys. It does, however, have a volume knob which I find essential for use with zoom meetings and occasional CBTs to quickly adjust the volume (or mute) without reaching up or some strange function key wigglery. This keyboard, to the average user, feels premium. I have actual premium keyboards, and this is very comfortable for me. The switches are responsive, again to the average keyboard user (YMMV if you're a switch snob like I am), and the keycaps have a pleasant texture. The MDA keycap profile is spot on, and they are double-shot. They are not shine through, but the backlighting (I keep it mono-chromatic, RGB is not my thing) is effective to accent the keys if you're not a touch typist. The cream switches are very nice, again at this price point, and I didn't feel compelled to change the switches (and I didn't). I like the sound, but that's preference, and if you're into keyboard sounds I think these are a real cut above the average keyboard. All in all, I think this is an excellent keyboard at the price point, and better than the other 60% models I've tried around this price. 5/5!

It's a comfortable keyboard with nice visuals and a lovely feel. Immediately on use, I noticed the tendency of the Win key to apply itself, frequently causing the Snipping Tool to open itself while I was typing. Very frustrating. Updated the drivers, still not resolved. Turns out there was a small bit of detritus between the shift and win key. Other than that, keyboard meets all my expectations.

Pleasantly surprised by this keyboard. It feels really solid, the backlighting works amazingly and it sounds absolutely fantastic. The switches coming pre-lubed saves a lot of hassle too. It's not super expensive compared to some mechanical keyboards so I was kind of expecting it to be cheaper or flimsy feeling, but it's got a bit of weight to it and doesn't feel like it's gonna fall apart. If I have to recommend a budget mechanical keyboard to someone I'll probably tell them to look into these ones.

I don't normally leave reviews but this product is amazing (and I don't want to stop typing):I've been looking into buying myself a mechanical keyboard for ~2 years; finally decided to pull the trigger on this one and I am so glad that I did. Typing on this keyboard feels and sounds incredibly satisfying. The quality is very good for the price and the keycap colours are beautiful. My one piece of criticism would be that the linear switches are a little too easy to press and I find myself accidently pressing more keys than I intend to, but that's more of a result of my bad typing habits than the keyboard itself- I'm thinking of buying brown tactile switches to swap out for the linear ones that come with the keyboard.Overall fantastic product and I would definitely recommend!

This keyboard is awesome! I have a razer huntsman, 2 roccat vulkans(red switches), alienware (red switches), logitech (blue) and other royal kludge rk61 plus with green switches. Out of all both RKs have the best feel, for me at least. Typing/gaming feels so effortless and satisfying. This R65 has a volume knob/switch which is also great to have. This one is wired but for my use it doesn't matter. Everything has a premium feel to it especially the keycaps, feels quality built. It looks amazing too. I also bought my daughter an RK M75 with linear switches and it also feels amazing. I have a very high opinion regarding the RK brand keyboards now.

I've purchased a few boards before. I started with the Glorious TKL - the very first board they released. That was my introduction to mechanical keyboards. Spent a LOT of money and time buying switches, lube, films, etc.Years later, I bought another board from Amazon - the Fogruaden Wired 75%. Played around with it and settled on "good" but not great. Didn't really like the switches, sound or the feel of the board. I've always been in search of that "thocky," sound and never really achieved it.So I was hesitant to spend money on another keyboard. It's always hard to tell from video reviews if the sound you are hearing is accurate or because the creator has isolated/enhanced the sound. But let me tell you, this is everything I could have hoped for. That "thocky," sound you hear in the reviews? That's exactly how it's going to sound when it arrives.I was going to use this to replace my old Glorious TKL that I use for gaming/web browsing, but after using this board for all of a minute, there is no way I can subject a board this nice to that kind of rough use. Instead, I'm going to keep using the Glorious TKL and bring the R65 out for when I've washed my hands free of any oils/use it for work purposes. Despite being made from plastic, it feels very premium with a nice weight to it.As far as I can tell, there are only 2 downsides to this board.1.) The software is confusing and requires a fair bit of setup. The average user might have difficulty.2.) The included cable is hot trash. Most "budget" keyboards come with a braided cable. This one comeswith a cheap rubber cable that has been folded up, so it's got kinks. For a board at this price-point, itshould come with a braided cable. But if that's how they're cutting corners so they can provide a board this nice at this low a price, I'm all for it!In short, if you have doubts - DON'T!
