This mp3 player is controllable, has bookmarks for saving your place in a file, and is easy to load from my PC, but becomes defective after only 6 months.The 'hamburger' button - for viewing options for a file currently on play, such as setting book marks or returning to the file itself 'now playing', so that you can pause/play - stays lit up and unworking, unless rebooted; sometimes more than once.A less common problem is the overall design - it turns on just by holding down a button on the side, which is easy to accomplish when it's in your pocket. At random, it will turn on record or radio, and start playing sound, or leaving playable files in a directory of ambient sounds it picks up during the day (as if the chinese weren't already spying on us... /partially joking here).Sometimes, when I'm getting ready for the day, I'll wear my headphones in the jack, while not playing anything - as I'm walking to work, it will spontaneously play recorded files at full volume (usually thumping and low humming sounds; the apparent sound of me walking + outdoor ambience, I suppose).Also, the touch screen buttons are a bit numb at times, forcing me to repeatedly tap. As touch screens go, it's easy to misclick too. This is more of a gripe about touch screen technology in general.

This item appeared to be well made. The metal case gave it a sense of quality.Unfortunately, this item failed to work after it first initial charge. In my attempt to chargeit up, failed to even turn on. The sound was really good, and I liked the interface, once I understoodthat you have to keep pressing the power button to avoid it changing songs while you handle the unit.If this company would like to send another unit to me, free of charge, and let me test it out, I'd be more than happyto give it a better rating, provided that it works.
