The chair itself is very durable and sturdy. The Yoga training book that came with it is helpful showing different exercise and poses that you can do while incorporating the chair. For a person who does Yoga on a daily basis, there were several poses to learn from.

This chair is a quality sturdy and firm chair for practicing asanas. I ordered chairs from another vendor a few years ago (no longer selling) and the back was higher than this one. I chose this product equating quality to Iyengar which I practice. I'm 5'2" and I have a tight fit to get into a backbend and a bit of a balancing act to go for sarvangasana. You might want to measure the height of the back of a chair you like. This one is 14" from seat to the top bar. That is the only reason I give this four stars.

First, I have to say that customer service is spectacular.I ordered this chair for an online Iyengar yoga class. The chair has a front bar under it. Our class has just advanced to where my yoga teacher asked me to get a different chair without the bar. Otherwise the chair is very nice and comes with a wonderful chart.

This chair is very cheaply made. Do not buy it. My wife, who's about 150 pounds, used it only about 15 times for a weekly seniors yoga class via Zoom — nothing else. It's nowhere near as sturdy as the chairs used in yoga studios. My wife was doing a gentle seated twist with the back bar (a standard yoga pose) when one of the bolts broke, the seat buckled, and she ended up on the floor. Upon inspection, you can see that — instead of standard threaded bolts and locking nuts — the manufacturer used thread-less pins and rivets made of very soft metals. Likewise, the seat is so flimsy that it immediately crumpled. it's not safe to use. It shouldn't be sold. I have contacted the vendor and am awaiting a response.

I was very excited to be purchasing Samadhaan Iyengar Backless Yoga Chair since the current pandemic has forced many of us to now practice yoga at home virtually with our community of practitioners. One of the legs of the chair does not align with the other 3 legs of the chair making it imbalanced. I am disappointed. I already recycled the box it was delivered in so now, it is just a production to have to pack it back up and return it. I hope that in future, they pay more attention to details such as this since, the chair used in Iyengar practice is used quite often for balancing poses. Otherwise, it could have been great. Thxs. -A
