You have to dig into the specifications but it works well for LiFePO4 batteries.I use it with two 100 watt solar panels to charge a bank of ten 7ah LiFePO4 batteries. No complaints at all.Works perfectly. Will buy again for another project.

So far works pretty good and reasonably well made. Definitely charged up my dead battery not problems and has held up to rain.

As others have stated, there is no way this item is rated as waterproof. I wouldn't even keep it outside exposed to mist. For my use, I installed it in my fish house as a way to connect my solar panel to my Lithium battery. My battery already has over charge protection built into the BMS inside of it, so I am not relying on this gadget to control that. I simply wanted this as a way to connect my solar panel to my batteries, without worrying about my solar panel discharging my batteries at night. For that purpose, it works, and I felt it deserved 3 starts. It however is not waterproof, and you cannot change what type of battery profile it uses to determine a full charge.I would not use this on a battery that does not have some sort of over voltage protection built into it already.

This UNIT IS DANGEROUS. It doesn't limit current. Only to be used with max 100W solar. It's not MPPT. I connected a true MPPT controller, and the voltage from my solar panel was around 18v. When connecting this one, I got 15v, and that is how PWM works, it brings down voltage closer to the battery you are charging, so it is less efficient that way.AND connecting a 200w solar panel, I was getting 170w going into the controller! 12v x 10 amps means it shouldn't be more than 130 / 140 watts.HOWEVER, since it drops the voltage, perhaps what was going in my battery was less? I don't know, however, what I do know is that getting more than rated 10 Amps is recipe for unit to overheat, and possibly burn out and possibly even cause a fire.So it not being an MPPT, or a version I have never seen, and without limiting it's current, means you can't overpanel with this, and connect more than 100w.AND LASTLY, the Nail in the preverbial box, the wires, I found were super thin probably an 18 or 20 awg, to be no better than used for more than 5 amps current.

BOTTOM LINE:1. I recommend this SOLPERK-12V 10Amp MPPT Solar Charge Controller.2. The current price of ~$30 is a bit high.LIKES:- Charges my LiFePO4 lithium battery.- Waterproof.- Tiny and compact. Perfect for stash and go.- Decent quality.- Nice set of safety and hookup proof features.DISLIKES:- Doesn't charge anything other than 12 volt batteries.- Tiny and light duty. Only good for certain use cases for me.
