These are a lifesaver for your household if someone is hard of hearing. I did not realize my particular pair was a return (I guess that's why they were on sale for Prime days?) but all the pieces were there, and I got them working eventually after letting them charge for several hours.

Great quality from Sony. And great delivery from Amazon.

I was looking for RF signal headphones for use with my TV. These were refurb for a good price, so I bought them. Very convenient features like charging by hanging on a post and long-lasting battery. Sound is good, but connection periodically fades for a second or two. I guess you can pay a whole lot more for RF headphones that have a more stable connection, but for the price I'm fine with these. Oh, and they are quite comfortable too.

Good fit and comfort. Not industrial strength but should be at this price. Wireless convenience probably worth the cost. Ear pads will disintegrate before any other component. Over the ear headphones reduce ambient noise somewhat. Offer interchangeable ear pads for increased noise reduction? C.

After 3 or 4 years the ear pads are wearing out and the batteries are not holding a charge, so we just buy new sets. We have a set for both my wife and I - given our various abilities to hear, and the horrible muffled sound from the tiny little speakers on our TVs, these allow us each to adjust the volume to our individual comfort levels. These are the third sets that we have had. What we like: they are comfortable. The sound quality is good. The transmitter/docking station as well as the headphones can be switched to one of three different channels, so that I can listen to a TV in one room while my wife listens to different TV show in another room without interference. Other headphones don't have this feature, and it is important. What we sometimes don't like: the sound-damping qualities of the headphone pads is so good that you cannot have a conversation while wearing these. I have even sent emails to Sony suggesting that they have little microphones and amplifiers built into the headphones with an on/off switch - sort of like with Ear Pods that have two different modes for either "noise cancelling" or "transparency". THAT would be veru helpful!!

The Sony headset came in new condition with plastic still on all the pieces. The box was damaged but had no effect on anything inside the box. I would recommend this seller and purchase again. I can hear my tv again! Thank you

I'm blown away by how poorly designed these headphones are. The battery housing is loose so that I have to stuff tissue in the case to hold the battery in place to keep power from cutting out. The scalp padding fell apart in a matter of weeks. No amount of fiddling, recalibration or positioning can get rid of the constant distracting static hisses and squelches.

I bought this about 2 years ago, worked great at start, despite a few hiccups. For starters if there is no constant audio coming in, they will disconnect from the receiver in a very short period of time. At first I dealt with it, but over time it got very frustrating. Especially if you use this for Zoom/Discord Calls where, if you have to speak for awhile, they'll disconnect and you can't hear anyone else until you click the connect button or turn them off and back on.They are touted to auto-charge all the time while on the stand, but this isn't exactly true. Once its charged they stop charging, even if the battery drains afterwards. So if you put them on the stand before bed, they will charge full during the night, then stop charging, you return next day and find them either completely drained or very little battery life, so you need to remember to reactivate the charger in the morning to ensure they charged during the day. Too many times when I had a planned call or session, I forgot to take them off in morning, turn them on and place them back on charger so it would charge them up again for the call and I wind up having to pull out my old Blue Tooth headphones.Again, another small issue, but over time it becomes tedious and an extra chore to have to remember. You wonder why you paid so much for the product to have all of these extra things to remember. The sound quality was pretty good, nothing amazing, but better than cheap headphones.I really enjoyed these at first, but after the first year they constant disconnects and needing to reactivate the charger got old.By year two, they randomly stopped working, just won't turn on anymore. And the padding has started falling apart. Now I am someone who handles tech carefully, I'm very present when I put them on and take them off. I also don't use them all the time, I generally use the soundbar for my PC, so they falling apart wasn't from wear and tear.My other cheaper headphones and headsets from 5+ years ago still work the same, but these didn't make it past two years before dying. Overall, not worth the price.

After reading the instructions carefully, I connected the transmitter base to the headphone jack on my Samsung TV. Then I fully charged the batteries and tried to use the headphones, but there wasn't any sound. I then disconnected everything and installed it again, but there still wasn't any sound. I then watched a couple of YouTube videos that involved changing the TV's sound settings, but that didn't work either. By this time I was getting close to taking a hammer to it, so I waited until the next day to deal with it again. By sheer luck I found a YouTube video explaining that because the TV headphone jack is digital sound, I needed to buy a converter to change it to analog. I then purchased a $32 converter that connects to the TV's 'Digital Audio Out ( Optical ) with a 'Toslink' cable ( included with the converter ) and I was finally able to get the headphones working. If Sony had mentioned that some TV's may require a converter, it would have saved me a lot of time and frustration. I can't help but wonder how many of these headphones have been returned simply because the customers didn't know they needed a converter.*Update* I've now been using these headphones for a week and despite having recharged the supplied Sony batteries a number of times ( from completely dead to fully charged ) they never lasted for more than ten minutes. I replaced them with a couple of regular Duracells and they're still working fine after 12+ hours of use. I should also mention that I purchased these headphones for less than half price from Amazon Warehouse. Had I paid full price for them it's very unlikely I would have been nearly so patient during the hours I spent figuring out why they wouldn't work. Second *Update* It's important to turn the TV on prior to turning the headphones on, otherwise there will not be any sound transmitted to the headphones. I have no idea why this happens, and I didn't see any mention of it in the owner's manual.

I enjoy the quality of sound from such a low price point. Best Buy is selling the exact same headset for 170. While Amazon has the open box selling for 89. I did need to purchase an optical converter separately in order to watch movies on my TV. But I really can’t complain, Once everything was set up I was very pleased with the sound. Who knows one day I may choose to upgrade yet I know the moment I do, I will be paying a whole lot more for a slightly better headphone. It more than exceeds what my needs are at the present time.

It works good on the tv but I wanted to plug it in my home theater where I have my chromecast and I didn't find any way to make it work. So the product is good but I don't like that I need to move my chromecast to my tv for it to work.

These headphones aren't anything special. When they work, they deliver excellent audio clarity as well as a balanced sound profile and they sit just right on my head, providing near-perfect comfort. The build of the headphones themselves is great, but the charging stand/transmitter feels very light and cheap and the voice isolation switch didn't seem to change anything. The real problems come from ambient noise. Between the active noise cancelling feature (which can't be disabled, by the way) malfunctioning on something as simple as the click of a keyboard and the lack of noise filtering on the RF signal itself (something easily implemented with a capacitor or two), this nearly $100 product performs worse than a pair of $30 Bluetooth headphones I bought from a Chinese seller on this very site. Because of these problems, using the headphones for more than thirty minutes leaves me with a terrible headache.Given that I bought my pair refurbished from a third-party seller, I can understand not all of my problems coming from a pair right off the assembly line, but this has been my experience and- if I can- I'll be returning my headphones immediately. All in all: these headphones don't perform anywhere near what their price tag would suggest

The headset is a little bit tight from ear to ear - I am female and have quite a small head. As long as I adjust it several times during use I can live with this. I bought the headphones as I live in an apartment and don't want to have the worry of perhaps disturbing neighbours when watching sports on TV or listening to classical music in particular but also rock. These always have highly fluctuating volumes, and it is so nice to be able to relax and just enjoy whatever it is I am watching/listening to. I love the fact that they are wireless and I can move around without having to press the pause button and still hear what's going on.January 27, 2020 I am still totally enjoying this headset and so glad I purchased it. It is not feeling tight any more and is in fact very comfortable. I used to miss some of the audio in movies but now I can turn it up without worrying about disturbing anyone and my enjoyment is enhanced.
