Bought this to replace one that was 40 years old and faded. My eyes needed some crisp lines. Same Starrett quality.

Scale is very accurate. Breaks very easily. Would be nice if it was a little thicker or made of different material.

Nice price, however these are NOT made by Starrett. After close inspection it's missing a couple key items. It does not have the Athol Mass USA engraving, nor does it have the extended 32 and 64 hash marks. On top of this, these are about .0015 thinner than genuine Starrett's. Not terrible but don't expect the best!

Clearly up to Starrett's known quality. Sharply engraved markings make this rule easy to read in all four scales on two sides. I only wish it had a sliding T-clip so I could do comparative depth/width measurements, and a little soft plastic cover for the pocket-end to keep the edges from cutting pockets. Don't bother with the pocket clip sold by Starrett...it's not worth the money.
