The needle on the Suunto A-10 is more responsive than my old one. Nice little and handycompass.

I would say that compact is correct description, the acrylic plate is 4 1/4" x 2 1/4", the compass is 2" in diameter (10,25 cm x 5,75 cm 5 cm diam).The best features of the compass are its accuracy and the fact you can correct for the declination between true north and magnetic north

A basic, but very accurate, well-made compass. No levelling bubble on it, but it's fairly easy to level without one. It would have been nice to have had a protective pouch included, but for this price you can always buy one if you need one.

I wanted a good entry compass that had value and quality for the price. Eventually I will get a universal compass with all the bells and whistles but this will more than suffice while I am on the learning curve.

You will see that the quality of this compass is on the far end. For me ill rather pay a bit more for a durable product.

Simple to use. I set up my equitorial telescope mount on first use with this, adjusting for magnetic deviation, and Polaris was in the polarscope first time!

Elle indique n'importe quoi, on ne peut se fier sans la brasser de gauche à droite à chaque utilisation et encore là.... dit-elle la vérité??? J'étais habituée à des boussoles à boule, peu chère, qui donnait l'heure juste mais celle-ci?
