This is such a great radio.Made by Talkpod, this A36SE Multi-Band walkie talkie, is a very versatile communications device. It does everything that consumer walkie talkies did in the 70's, and everything that the popular GMRS radios did in the 2000s...and more!This is a long range GMRS Radio, that includes multiple interchangeable antennas, and what seem to be never ending channels to tune in.What I really like is that this is a very handy and useful device for power outages (especially during hurricanes and winter snow storms) as it is also a NOAA weather receiver, and it features AM and FM radio as well. So when the power is out (and often my internet and phone data is off as well, during some storms) I can still tune in information radio for updates, and also weather reports.Also includes a charging base, and a built-in USB-C port as well...so I can also charge without the base, and by using any USB-C charging cables. A great portable communications radio and 5 stars!

Prise en main agréable. J'ai plusieurs marque différentes et a chaque fois c'est un peu compliquer a programmer. Avec ce model le programme et les ''driver'' sont facile a trouver sur leurs site web.je recommande!!

My son has a pair of traditional Walkie Talkies, the ones with 16 channels and shorter range. We often use them while camping or when he's out playing with his friends down the street. I was looking for a third radio to communicate with his so I decided to get this one.I am not super familiar with radio technology but have always been interested in it and in learning more about it. So this is a GMRS radio which means it offers more features and options beyond the simple 16 channel short range radio mentioned above. It obviously can easily communicate on the same frequencies as those and work really well this way. I fall you need is a radio to communicate with standard Walkie Talkies, this one will do it but could be overkill and harder to operate as it offers lots more options. I am personally interested in learning more about this stuff and like tinkering so I am happy this radio has all these extra features.The radio offers two different channels so you can tune in to two different frequencies and easily switch between them. It also includes three different length of antennas which can easily be swapped depending on the application. The radio is able to listen to dedicated weather channels which can be handy when in a place without cell service. It can also tune in to AM and FM radio frequencies to pick up local broadcasts. The battery is removable and rechargeable, it charges using a USB-C cable or the included base. This is great as there is no need to carry around the base when away but can still charge the Walkie Talkie. It also includes a belt clip, wrist strap, charging cable, and a ear piece and mic. The radio has a very nice and clear LCD display, this means it can easily be used in the dark and makes menu navigation a breeze. The number pad is also very useful to manually select a specific frequency.Overall this is a great little radio, it includes all the accessories you might need, the radio is full of features, provides many options for tuning in different frequencies, is well built, and has a great display. Definitely a great option for someone looking for more than a standard Walkie Talkie without breaking the bank.
