For people that want a cheap but reliable alternative to coloured eraseable pencils, this is it. I love using it with certain pieces and it leaves a nice red undertone to certain things. It is rather waxy but you can barely notice it if you're using it as a light undersketch and not firmly pressing the pencil down. Very useful item.Only thing to be really careful about is breaking the inside of the pencil, just be gentle with it like you would any pencil.

I discovered Ticonderoga two years ago and I love them. The red ones are best for correcting homeworks with notes added in the margin. The eraser at the end of the pencil really rubs the 'fault' out like even a Staedtler cannot. I also have the plain pencils in black and they are perfect for drawing, writing and again the eraser is perfect. I recommend the Ticonderoga pencils in both black and red lead.

red pencils for marking. could be a little softer, but the core is OK.

The red pencil part is decent. I got this because of the iconic ticonderoga brand, and the erasability. However, the pencil is not erasable. It still stays on no matter how much I erase, it does lighten, but there is always pink where I wrote, and you can still visibly see what it was that I wrote where I tried to erase. Otherwise this is a solid pencil.

Purchase for daughters school. Wouldn’t believe how hard it is to find for value of money. They are hard to write with. Color is faint. Value is good for money.

The pencils themselves are great, I’ve purchased them before and loved them. This time, however, all of my pencils came broken inside, which makes it so you are unable to sharpen them without them breaking. Be aware that if you order these pencils, they may be handled roughly and break inside. :/

For the price these are great. They don't erase THAT well unless you're using a very light line, but when using blue for sketching you're probably gonna scan the drawing anyway so erasing isn't really necessary on rough under-drawings. They don't sharpen that well but not a huge concern.

The package the pencils came in won't close at the bottom which is really annoying so when I picked it up all of the pencila ended up scattered on the floor. The eraser isn't as strong as i expected. The gradient in my photos show how well the lead gets erased with different pressure points and it only erases well when you do not put pressure on the paper so just a note for artists to maintain a light hand when using these pencils

I use these pencil crayons for art and doing sketches before inking a drawing. They're great, a nice solid lead with the perfect tint of colour to not show up when scanned. The eraser is of good quality as well. I highly recommend these to artists, I use them more than pencils now. It's also way cheaper to buy them here on Amazon than it is to buy from my college bookstore, so I'm glad I found them.

They say these things are for checking things off on a paper document, but I got these to see how they compare the similar Prismicolor Col-Erase colored pencils, and they work really well! I was hoping it would be similar to the light blue color for those pencils. It's a little darker than that pencil, but there are two reasons why that's nice. 1: It hold back a little more than the light blue prismicolor. Meaning it shows up better with some distance away from the paper. So you don't have to squint or bring your head closer to the paper as much as with the light blue prismicolor. 2: It has the same effect when scanning it. Anyone who does cartoon and comic inking knows that the ink lines need to scan in cleanly on either a strait black and white or line art setting on a scanner, and this pencil does it just as nicely as the prismicolor equivalent. No more erasing pencils on your drawings! Now there is a minor quibble I have with these pencils but it's actually goes for most other erasable colored pencils, and that's sharpening. With an electric sharpener you won't have much of a problem, but for on the go manual sharpener, they tend to not have as easy of a time as regular graphite and many sharpeners will just break the tips off the lead. They also wear down sharpeners so it might be a good idea to stock up on the one you find that does the job, Also keeping an exacto knife and/or sand paper to sharpen it with would also be a good choice. So yea, really good pencil and I recommend it.
