I'm always looking for quality paper to make travel sized sketch books so when I saw the TKOOFN 9" x 12" Sketch Book, Pack of 5 I couldn't resist. The description showed how the pages would bow when tucked back, indicating these were long grain papers, which they are. The reason this was important is because I took advantage of the micro perforated pages to create travel sized sketch books that are half pages. The pages are a nice weight and take ink, pencil, and charcoal with a nice texture that deposits pencil and charcoal effortlessly. I think if you don't saturate the papers, you could use acrylic paint pens or watercolour pens or pencils, but I wouldn't use it as you would traditional watercolour paper or a canvas. Even if I hadn't gotten double the value by cutting the pages in half for the sketch books I made, getting 500, 9" x 12" pages of good quality paper is well worth the money. I definitely recommend these sketchbooks.

I ordered this TKOOFN Pack of 5 sketchbooks, and I’m loving them! The paper is thick and sturdy, making it perfect for drawing, watercolor and various other mediums. It has minimal bleed-through, which is a huge plus. The top spiral binding makes it easy to lay flat, so you can draw from any angle. It’s also a good size, measuring 9 x 12 inches, and the paper is 73lbs/120gsm thick, which is a great balance between size and portability. It’s a great value for the quality and versatility it offers. I highly recommend it to artists of all ages and levels.

The paper adaptability, paper colors, and paper textures of this sketchbook are incredible, Better than other 100gsm paper.allowing you to draw on your favorite artwork with ease and without bleeding to the other side of the page. The spiral binding works great and has perforated pages so things tear off cleanly. So it's definitely worth buying and definitely recommend a sketchbook like this one, it would make a great gift, something you could put in it for any artist, friend or kid etc. I hope this review helps you decide, it's a really good sketchbook.

This TKOOFN Spiral Sketchbook is larger and thicker than I expected. It does have 100 sheets, which is unusual for a sketchbook. The spiral ring is more than an inch in diameter. The paper itself is definitely meant for dry media, it is somewhat "toothy," which means it has a rough, not smooth, surface. It is also not pure white, more like a warm cream color. In the photo I taped some copier paper onto a sketchbook page to show the value and surface difference. Toothy paper is usually ideal for graphite pencil and charcoal. Some of the pens I used skipped a bit on the rough surface, but others handled it ok. My dip pen worked well on the paper, though the ink tended to spread a bit since the paper is somewhat soft. The paper is thick enough for sketches, but I probably would not try to do finished work for sale on it. The sketchbook is very good for quick sketches and trying out ideas.
