These pencils are good quality and reasonably priced.Excellent for sketching.The lead does not break easily or flake.Lead is well centered in the wood case, so they sharpen to an even point.

Writes smoothly and darker than other 2B pencils. Excellent pencil for the money. Unlike some pencils that come pre-sharpened, these are unsharpened so the choice of point size is left to the user.

Don't be fooled into buying these because you think they are drawing pencils. The Tombow company's pencil package clearly identifies them as "General Writing" pencils, and there's a difference. In lead, mainly. But it matters. Stick to Staedtler if you want a drawing pencil. IMHO.

Did I think I would be reviewing a pencil?? No, but here I am....Normally we buy Staedler 2B, mainly the Traditional line. They're used for writing + notes, not drawing.Disappointingly for the price, there are some that have broken lead all the way through.We ordered the TomBow pencils because they were 1/2 the price and - you'd assume if pencils had been sold since 1913 - would be good quality.Used for a couple of weeks now. they are lovely to write with. very smooth.So far, no broken leads.Erasing is good. No different from any other 2B pencil.The green is a darker Harrods green + is different to the usual red or yellow pencils out there. Dare I say, even a conversation starter..It does not sharpen to the long point the others do + the blunt end is unusual - but we put the pencil top erasers on so you'd never know.So, that's my pencil review!REVISED: Have taken off 1 star.Just a warning as to extra charges.1 overseas Seller will sit on the Order for several days - despite stating he will ship in 2 days - then send with FedEx to ensure received within the delivery window.So an Order that would not normally attract duty/taxes, does.So if you buy from Ninja Hanzo, don't be surprised to receive a hefty invoice 5 weeks later from FedEx. For me the charge was 1/3 the cost of 4 boxes.I will not do that again....

If you like writing or working in pencil these are a great choice, silky smooth on the page. I bought 2B as I like a slightly darker line, and these pencils are perfect for my needs and they smudge minimally.
