I bought this, specifically, to connect the button dimmers to the test of my Tapos devices. The dimmers buttons will only work with American frequency Tapos hubs.They work perfectly with Tapo light bulbs, even from other regions within the same network as long as the H200 hub uses American region frequencies.

I have many different Smart home house and they didn’t necessarily need another smart home hub but the reason I bought this was actually to help differentiate the different Alerts.You see all this every alert on my phone has the same sound and then when it becomes bedtime, my Alerts mute.With this guy, I can use it to tell me when a person has been detected on a camera and not simply just another motion detection.This has worked perfectly for that. I was also able to integrate with my home assistant and can now use it as a chime or alarm for other services outside of the Tapo environment.

I need central camera storage solution, but this hub has limited compatibility. TP-Link's site lists Tapo C420, C400, and D230; Amazon's product page shows Tapo C420, C425, and D230; one of tplink forum post says: H200 support for Tapo C510W is available for the V1 version on firmware 1.3.1 Build 241111 Rel.29618n.it's my bad didn't check before purchase.Update: Wow, world-class tech support! TP-Link technician Diana helped me resolve the issue in just 3 days. Truly impressive. I highly recommend their products and company!

If you're heavily invested in Tapo devices this thing controls them really well. If you're looking to integrate it with other brand smart devices you can forget it. I couldn't for the life of me get it into Home Assistant so I can control other devices and automations as well.

I chose the Tapo H200 as it can sit on a shelf and be connected via an Ethernet cable in addition to 2.4GHz WiFi. The H100 is a wall jack mounted device with only WiFi. To date, only the H100 integrates with Home Assistant for those that wish to do hone Automation over their LAN vice relying on Cloud Services. So for the H200 does not work with Home Assistant.

Bought it for Tapo cameras. Connects with Lan cable directly from router, connects to cameras with no problem. Clear picture and no problems loosing focus. Have 6 cameras connected and all have clear picture on my phone. Great to keep an eye on senior parents living on their own, making sure they are ok 24/7

The Tapo H200 Smart Hub works great! I'm using this as a hub for Tapo wireless switches to control our Tapo bulbs, because we can't use the wired switches at our place. All my switches now have instant, issue-free signal throughout our two-story townhouse. The hub connected with Alexa easily through the Tapo app. Overall, another great Tapo product!
