Yes, it is less expensive than some and also lacks hotkey switching but it works great. Currently running 4 computers into two monitors and everything works great. I would buy again.Update: Shortly after posting this I started having issues with this KVM. At times it would take an inordinate amount of time to switch between computers and often times the monitor inputs wouldn’t switch or the mouse or keyboard functions would not work. I unpowered and powered it back up and sometimes it would work for a short period and then go right back to the previous problems. So I quickly went from satisfied to dissatisfied with this KVM because it wasn’t stable and affecting my work.

With 4 inputs, this is a great little HDMI KVM for a home lab or work server rack. I have 3 ultra small form factor systems in my basement, so I've got this setup there with a cheap little portable screen so that I can swap between them when I need hardware access.This KVM doesn't have any special features like EDID support or keyboard hotkey swapping, but for a 4 port KVM at this price it doesn't need to. It does a great job for what it is, switching between inputs it relatively quick and I haven't had any issues with it missing swaps so far.

I purchased this unit to consolidate the (too many) computers in my recording studio and thus far it's working great, is easy to use (I like the remote switch!) and looks nice, too... integrates nicely with all of my other mixing desk gear. My one quibble is that it doesn't auto-detect; in other words, if you turn on, say, just computer number 3 it won't automatically switch to that channel. But that is such a minor qiubble. And as I said, you have a remote switch that can go next to your keyboard to select the correct channel manually. All in all, very satisfied!

Item works as described. But other KVMs I have owned in the past when switching between PCs/Monitors the monitors retain their "Connectivity" as if they were still connected to the PC / Monitor. Using this device when not on an active PC/Monitor windows thinks you have disconnected the device (Monitor) entirely. This causes the monitors once switched to live to rescan/identify. This is very frustrating waiting for monitors to re-identify and any windows open you had open (Maybe certain apps on certain screens) are all moved to the first monitor to re-establish the link.

Very good value. I had another, much more expensive brand, that failed on the one usb input port. I was glad I could have this one that works great and costs so much less.

So I not too long ago received a laptop from work and despite it being a useful machine to be able to work from home with, the annoyance of having switch over cables from my personal setup (3 monitors, 1 desktop PC) is truly such a pain. This KVM switcher has been a must have and incredibly useful addition to my work from home setup and saves me a bunch of time at the beginning and end of every day.First off, build quality of this is very very nice - it's a solid unit with a satisfying weight. It sits firmly and in place, and the ports are also machined nicely so that cables slot in and clip in nicely. The remote control this includes was a really nice surprise as I was expecting it to just be a button on the unit, but having the flat remote is super convenient.Despite my monitors being 144hz each, this still outputs to each one well. It obviously only supports one at a time, but is still a smooth experience, and being able to have my personal machine on as well as my work computer (on) at the same time between different screens is very useful. I have different software on each that compliment each, so simply switching USB setups (mouse and keyboard) between each other but keeping the monitors on is amazing.Overall, love this switcher! It's responsive, works incredibly well between my work laptop and desktop PC, and I'd recommend it to just about anyone.

this kvm is OK if you’re unable to afford a better one. this one is extremely slow to switch & doesn’t always recognize the monitors. i’ve had to reset 3 times already & i’ve only had it for 2 weeks. i’ll be returning & splurging on a better one bc at this point, it’s effecting my work.

Je suis relativement satisfait de ce dock station! Au niveau des moniteurs, ça marche tempête! Le problème est au niveau des ports USB frontaux, il suffit d'effleurer les fils USB, pour que les appareils connectés, perdre la connexion et reviennent en vie. Je dois parfois interchanger les appareils de ports USB, car on dirait que Windows ne reconnaît plus les appareils! Dommage car ça reste un beau produit!
