I bought these to replace head bolts on a Honda Hobbit moped. I wanted to change to studs that would remain in place when I took the cylinder off instead of taking a whole bolt out of the case. I ended up not using them because the center part between the threads is thin.Instead of having threads cut into one diameter rod, the threads themselves are larger than the unthreaded part.

I bought these to help me replace a stator gasket and cover on my motorcycle. This is the same thread and size as the screws that hold the cover in place, so after removing the old stuff I used these to help hold the gasket in place and guide the stator cover back into proper alignment without worry. I can see them being useful for other things as well, but that's the reason why I bought them and they worked great for that purpose.

I bought ten rods-- two packages of five. Between the two packages, four rods had threads cut to 30-31 mm, while the other six had threads cut to only 24 mm. Advertised thread length is 34 mm. Otherwise, they're straight, 100 mm long, M6x1.0, and stainless.

I always had an issue with small engine gaskets, insulators, dams, carburetors and air intake alignment and starting the mounting bolts without something shifting. Use these studs if they fit to mount all the component correctly on the studs. Holding the components in alignment you can switch out the studs for the specified bolt one at a time and it saves you time and stress and possible damage to thin gasket material. I use these studs to my maintenance and overhaul work on Honda and BS small engines for my yard equipment. The quality is very good and the stainless has held up to exposure to water and cleaning chemicals very well.
