Thin - difficult to see in the photo, but thinner than the Walter zip disks I normally buy. These do cut faster in mild steel - I don't have any stainless on hand to test them with, but in mild and alloy steel I do notice a difference. Plus, there are lots here, so I don't feel bad about burning through them.

I recently picked up a pack of these 5" cutting discs for my angle grinder, and they've been fantastic. The discs stay sharp for a long time and can slice through all sorts of metal like butter. They're durable too - I've really put them through the wringer on various projects and they keep on trucking.The thin design is also really nice. So these are good value just based on price per quantity. But I must warn that they are very thin and even setting down your grinder the wrong way will result in a snapped disc. They also get eaten up quite fast if you are cutting through dents metals. But as long as you don't mind changing discs off then this is worth the price so that you always have a fresh disc on hand.

I ordered these for my Dad because he's been doing a lot of home renovation work lately. He's using his angle grinder a lot and was looking for discs as he's already started to need replacements.I made the error of assuming that his angle grinder was compatible with 5" cutting discs. I was wrong, having never used the tool myself. I thought for sure he wouldn't be using them after I discovered his grinder is actually 4.5".However, all he had to do was take the guard off his angle grinder and these fit perfectly. It's not ideal, but he says the most important thing is that these do cut with precision the lighter materials he needs for renovations, like some sheet metals. Again, I'm not the tool pro in the house. But if my Dad says these discs work perfectly for his renovation needs, and that he has no complaints about their performance, then they get a solid 5 stars.
