I recently picked up a pack of WA cutting wheels for my angle grinder, and I'm happy to report they did the trick. I ordered these 6" (150mm) cut-off wheels for my air grinder with a 7/8 (22mm) arbor, the thickness of these discs is 1/16" (1.6mm). A 25 pack will last me a long time, I need them for various cutting jobs, including cutting exhaust pipes, bolts and other metal fabrication needs for working on my cars, motorcycles, ATV's, etc. My air grinder runs at a very high RPM so the performance of these discs was very impressive when I tested one on some scrap steel with very little wear. They are rated for a maximum of 10200 RPM and I can say that they are well balanced and caused no vibrations.

The WA Grinder 25 pack 6" x 1/16" x7/8" Thin Cutting Wheels are perfect to use with your angle grinder for all your cutting off of nails, screws, cutting metal bars shorter etc. WA uses a proprietary aluminum oxide grain combination which ensures a durable and long life wheel providing bur-free cutting. They are made safer using a double fiber mesh and fiberglass reinforced disc. You can use them on steel, cast iron, stainless steel and other ferrous metals. It is not made to be used for a heavy duty job like thick cast iron or a high strength alloy. Please ensure that you use the appropriate item for the job. I find that it does a great job of cutting and therefore I highly recommend them.

I just did a steel roof and went through more than a handful of cutting wheels of several different brands. All 5". Having discovered their versatility for projects around the house and property (we live in the country and have an old barn that needs to come down) I ordered these. Sadly I didn't realize they were the wrong size.Based on my experience with cutting wheels I do feel that I can safely review these. I've learned from experience which ones are likely to chew down to nothing quickly and which will stand up to serious cutting.These wheels are thick and strong and I'm probably going to buy a bigger guard so I'll be able to use them on the barn demo since they seem good and heavy. I've had some that you can tell right out of the package that they won't do well. Thankfully that's not the case with these. These are comparable to the best quality 5" wheels I've had.Additionally they're a very good value. I think these are a good choice for wheels but if they don't turn out the way I expect I'll come back and update.

As a professionnal fitter-welder, I have used plenty of cutting discs in the past. Some of premium quality, and some mediocre one. As you probably know, a premium cutting disc (Walter or 3M for example) will cost you around 5$ each meaning that these cost less than half their price.Of course, the performance of the disc is not comparable to the premium brands named earlier, but for the price, these are pretty good! When I have a project at home and I have to pay from my pockets, I like to buy these. Their performance is pretty good. Let's say that I have used far worst in the past.

I have a small abrasive cutoff miter saw that uses 6" abrasive wheels. These are perfect for that, and the price per disc is good. They might not be quite as good or have quite as long of a longevity as a higher end name brand, but at a fraction of the price, that really doesn't matter. These are good for cutting long fasteners or rods, metal tube or angle iron, or brackets of all types. I didn't have any issues with these, and would get them again.

Long lasting if you are careful…I build and work on a lot of cars, street rods and racecars. Bodywork, Welding, Wiring, plumbing and fabrication is a large part of what I do. These are very large for a typical angle grinder and might not fit with a shield installed. I advise you not use these discs without a shield. If you manage the pressure you’re putting on the disc, it will last a good long while giving you a nice thin kerf.I keep up with my reviews and will revisit this one should the need arise.I give these discs my Big-Foot “Stomp” of approval and 5 stars!

These cutting discs are suitable for medium speed grinders in the 6" or over range, and are only rated for 10,200RMP. At 1/8" or .0625", they are a hair thicker than many .050 4.5" wheels to help their increased diameter resist flying apart at rotational speeds.I like to use these up a bit on the larger grinders before retiring them to the 4.5" grinders, but avoid using them new on the 4.5" grinders unless using a variable speed one with the RPM dialed back a bit. The added diameter of these helps cut larger pipes without needing to rotate them as much, or reach further in when cutting off a rusted bolt.They seem well balanced and cut cleanly, without showing any chipping or accelerated wear. The mounting hole fits nicely on a 7/8" grinder shaft.At about a buck apiece and shipped quickly, I'll be looking for more WA GRINDER abrasives when my stock runs low. I'll probably save 80% off purchasing these individually at the hardware store.

I enjoyed working with these because they are nice and thin.They are thin and cut fast and made my job way easier and enjoyable to work with. They last compared to others so I'd say they are pretty durable. I haven't had any of them break or fly off. They haven't thrown anything around or get hung up on anything so they work really well. Definitely a good choice and a safe choice I appreciate the thinness of these wheels.
