I go throught lots of cutting discs. I find these disc last a reasonable amount of time, they are well balance and sturdy, I have order them at least 3 times and have never had one come apart.

It is really hard to say exactly how these compare to other similar disks. When I used them back to back with a Menards branded disk and a Makita disk, the differences where small. I think these were smoother than the Menards, but maybe not as smooth as the Makita. Overall I feel like its hard to go wrong with these. I have not had any issues with them.

I haven't found much these blades can't get through. Wear your safety glasses though - it's no fault of the manufacturer, but physics dictates some chunks of what you are cutting fall off. But it's a very reasonable precaution to take considering the versatility!

This 30 pack of 4.5" diameter cutoff wheels by Whitby Abrasives, Inc., are a great value and perfect for cutting through steel. They will fit practically any grinder with a 7/8" (22mm) arbor and although primarily intended for steel cutting, they will cut through other materials including thin aluminum. Technically, a silicon carbide wheel should be used with aluminum to avoid clogging these Al-O wheels but it can still work with thinner aluminum sheet especially if you can lower the speed of your grinder. I like the thinner 1mm thick cutting wheels as you tend to lose less material and can be more precise. Being thinner may cause them to wear down a little quicker depending on your application but for the current price of $22.99, 30 wheels will last a long time. 5 stars.

These work great for cutting applications but they are thinner than most other cutting wheels I have used. Them being thinner makes it easier to cut thinner materials but they don't last as long as some thicker cutting wheels I have used. They work perfectly fine as long as you don't get in a rush or try to cut too fast. I didn't have any issues but because they are thinner I suspect might be more prone to coming apart as any cutting wheel. As with any cutting wheel, I would also highly recommend using eye protection when using these as well as making sure your grinder has a shield installed for additional protection.

Cutoff wheels for 4 1/2 grinders aren't expected to last through eight different jobs, but I would expect them to last one as long as it's not too intense. These guys might pull through, if it's a small enough job. Otherwise you might find yourself having to grab another out of the stack, going from thirty, to fifteen real quick.Beyond their questionable wear, they're effective in the cut. Relatively durable, noting that you don't want to drop cutoff wheels and try to reuse them as it's an unfortunate recipe for an exploding disk. And from a personal perspective, I actually prefer these flat style disks over the raised centers for most uses! Not bad, but could do for some improvement with materials.

A nice set of (30) .045 thick x 4 1/2 diameter abrasive cutoff wheels. Very good quality items. Leaves a good finish as long as you hold your grinder correctly. Cuts very straight and I had no issues with the wheel trying to walk off the cut. After cutting off several pieces of 1/4 thick by 3" wide carbon steel straps I barely noticed any change in the wheel diameter. The fit to my angle grinder was perfect and all of my arbors and nuts worked perfectly as well. Not only are these quality made but the price makes these a great value as well. I'm very happy with these cutoff wheels.

Not as good as big brand cutting disks. But wont break the bank doing project needing cuting.. if you compare you will probly cut more per dollar with these blades. Hadnt had 1 blow up yet and went through about half my 25pack.
