I would say this is a smaller size than I expected. I thought it would be a normal Chinese mahjong, but it's still a lot smaller. But the quality is ok.

The set arrived well packaged inside a box with foam inserts, although the white carrying case was already damaged in 2 corners - so I'm not sure how it will hold up over time if being lugged around regularly.Inside are 4 plastic trays that contain all your tiles, as well as an accessory tray for the dice & betting sticks. The tiles are pretty chunky, and have a reasonable weight to them - the whole set is quite hefty. One of the packs of tiles had already been opened on my one though, although strangely just to access one tile. All in all, the set seems reasonable for the cost - but the case may not last as long as the tiles themselves!

The set has large tiles for a Riichi Mahjong set, even larger than the Amos Max, so good if you are looking for a cheap large tile set with standard patterns. If you prefer a larger size or if you typically play a with Chinese mahjong sets this would probably suit you. Other things:(1) I've no idea why the case has a handle. If you use the handle to lift it I would guess it would rip off in a short while. Similar sets by other manufacturers don't have these handles because they can't take the weight.(2) If you look carefully the single haku (white dragon) does not have the 'diamond' in it like the red 5-dots (akadora 5-pins), just an indented hole. Seems a bit unusual to me but meh.(3) The scoring sticks (tenbo) are yellowish colored, which I personally hate, so I just threw them away and replaced them with my own set of white tenbo. But this is a personal aesthetic.
