The only thing I hate is that all the brother printers tell you the toner is empty when there is some in it.

Saw some nasty reviews but had to buy the genuine anyway i installed it without an issue and the workload i had just came out flawlessly so i don't see why the negative review as mine is perfect

I am all for a competitive marketplace. And don't like lock-in strategies vendors try to use. Razor blades and toner cartridges. But ... in this case, for the very competitive Amazon price, a Genuine Brother replacement cartridge that I KNOW will work gives me peace of mind, rather than futzing around to find the lowest price that may not be fully compatible or give me less than the performance I expect. A printer is a basic utility that I expect to work unconditionally all the time. Happy with my purchase and will do so again when I need a new cartridge.

First of 2 cartridges installed June 25 and just replaced Nov 9, 2020. My records show 1305 text and 303 image printed pages for a total of 1608. The product stated yield of 3,000 printed pages means with a 5% coverage per page. I was told that is equal to 1 line of text. I mean, who does that? What I have found is that with Amazon's best price and free delivery, my print cost per page is 6 cents, with absolutely superb print quality at my finger tips, for a duration of about 41/2 months! I save on paper by using double-sided printing. When I say text, I mean full pages of print, sometimes with density increased by using 80% and 60% type size. The image means typically full page coverage with black or grey tones that appear as crisp as if they had been photographed! All pages are clear, without blemish, lines, fading or any other such interference with this exceptional production quality. I wholeheartedly agree with those customers who espouse staying with the genuine Brother toner. You just can't go wrong, in my opinion. As a final comment, my printer first showed a "toner low" message on November 1, and continued to Nov 9, all the while providing another 80 pages of awesome printing. Then a new automated message flashed this notice: "Replace Toner Cartridge". and that was that! I can't say enough about this most excellent product! I will continue to purchase my Brother toner from Amazon.
