The solar setup uses SAE wiring and I used this port to get into a waterproof project box which contained a battery for solar backup power.

I purchased this item for my side x side to be able to have my trickle charger/battery maintainer plugged in at a convenient location. Works like a charm. Wire size on the plug is perfect length and gauge.Would recommend

It does what I need it to do, which is to provide an easily accessible plug on my SxS for charging. However, as others have pointed out, it is constructed with reverse polarity, so take a close look.

Polarity of the red and black leads are reversed for Coleman Solar panel.

Works great and fits perfect. No issues with the positive and negative like others have mentioned, maybe they're reversed from their device and these are designed for battery tender

Used this to connect my battery tender to my side by side and makes it very convenient to hook up. Keep in mind that this is designed for transferring power from a solar panel array to storage batteries so if you are using it for a different application, check the polarity when connecting your wires. I had to reverse the polarity when connecting it to my battery tender. The black (negative) pig tail was soldered to the positive wire of the battery leads and the red (positive) pig tail was soldered to the negative battery lead. Everything work correctly when properly connected.

I'm using this for a quick disconnect project for my truck. The socket works great, when I plug in an SAE cable it holds snug. The wire sizing seems true, the only thing you have to pay attention to is the polarity as it can change depending on if you're using the socket at your power source or at your destination. This non-plugged version made it easy to install some ring terminals to connect to my 12V battery. The 12GA wire is flexible enough to work with, and the built-in plug cover is a nice touch.

It looks well made but the polarities are reversed compared to the pictures in the add. Yes, not a huge deal. I'll just use heat shrink tubing to change the colors but it's an extra expenses.
