I'm assuming it got magnetized during shipping or while in the warehouse but regardless, any way you spin it, it still shows North.

I needed a compass that would last in tough conditions and over time. If you want something that will do the job right and be reliable I recommend spending the few extra bucks for this one.

The sight glass on the case doesn't line up with the compass inside, other that that its good, but the defect ruins it

Très bonne boussole mais on ne peut corriger la déclinaison, il faut additionner ou soustraire nous-même l'erreur de déclinaison magnétique. Mais sur le terrain pour retrouver son chemin, pas de problème.
