Great toy for my 6 month old grandson. The noise isn't loud or scary. It's suttle and the toy is good quality. I would recommend this.

Lovely rattle with a calming sound. Seems a bit large but I'm sure baby will grow into it.

Super great for my 4 month old. He can stare at it for hours when I shake it up and down. Great sensory tool for babies.

Got this for my 1 year old nephew and it was a hit for him and the other kids too. The beads make a fun sound as you turn the toy around. Entertaining for babies to watch what happens to the beads when turned upside down. Good quality toy which is always a plus!

Love this toy, not too noisy. My only issue with it is the static electricity it generates, which in turn holds back a lot of the beads. Great quality though otherwise.

I absolutely love this product and so does my 6 month old. Very amusing, soft sound - My husband and I donโt find it annoying at all, relaxing even. My baby loves it! Easy to hold for her, loves to teethe on the wooden ends and is fascinated by the action inside. Also, best bang for your buck (I shopped around and bought many of these before finding this one which is our fav by far).

Our infant son really likes this toy. He is fascinated when he sees things inside something else move around. The size and shape of this toy is a great fit for him and he was able to hold it up briefly and play with it even at 5 months. He is in the 97th percentile for his size and with decent fine motor skills for his age but I imagine that most kids should be able to play with this toy by 6-7 month mark. It's very well made, end caps are wood, the plastic is thick and smooth and the sound it makes is not overly annoying. The only negative I can think of is that some of the little beads inside get electrostatically charged and stick to the spinning fixtures. This doesn't take away from the overall experience and therefore is not worth taking off a star for. It would just annoy someone with an undiagnosed mild OCD such as myself ;-)I would recommend this to any parent with an inquisitive infant or a toddler who is also preferably relatively careful with things (ie their favorite activity is NOT throwing things across the room). If this thing gets thrown around a lot it would probably get quite annoying. A Skwish may be a more appropriate toy for kids who enjoy smashing things on the floor.
