I didn't get these because I wanted to be taller, I got them because I had a pair of leather Sperrys that hit my ankle bones in a painful way and wanted a little lift to avoid that. These inserts were the perfect solution.These are great inserts but you're going to have to give them a chance beyond your initial impression (this is probably true of any heel lift). When you first put your shoes on with these inserts its going to be *really* uncomfortable. If I left a review right after my first impression I would be saying things like "these hurt my feet" and "I've stood on softer concrete floors". You have to give your shoes a chance to stretch a bit to make room for the thicker insert. For leather shoes, I suggest buying a leather stretching spray to help accelerate the stretch. I imagine any heel lift isn't going to work well in shoes made from materials that won't allow you to stretch them. Once you get everything stretched out, you'll love them.Make sure you take some measurements before picking which thickness to get. If you go too thick your heels will be falling out of the shoe. You're probably going to want to remove the original inserts before putting these in so take that into account with your measurements.Pros:- Very comfortable after the initial break in period discussed above. Not too squishy, not too hard.- These are wide enough for men's shoes. Every other heel lift insert I could find on Amazon had tons of reviews saying they were way too narrow for Men's shoe sizes. These don't have that problem. They are full width.- The advertised lift is exactly what you get (I got 2.5cm).Cons:- There is no way these will fit all the way up to Men's size 11. I wear Men's 9.5 and these fit perfectly with no trimming necessary. This worked out great for me, but if you wear 10-11 then you aren't going to be happy with these (one star deduction for false advertising)- White isn't the best color if you want them to look clean long term.

I bought these because the shafts of my winter riding boots were too long for my calves. I was interested to see that different heights were available. I had to cut off the part under the ball of my foot for a comfortable fit. Now my boots fit AND I look taller!! 😊
