Yes, it does cost more than cheaper third party products. However, I think the extra cost outweighs the extra risk.Sure, you might get good quality from third party, but you also run the risk of getting inferior quality.For me, the extra cost is worth it.

My HP Color Laser printer will only take HP Toners. The only issue is when my Toner gets low that means I will need to spend close to $1,000 to replace.

Tried compatible cartridges with my new HP printer, they all have a little something that makes them OK but not perfect - strange noises, color ribbon appearing, etc. With 100% Original cartridges I am 100% satisfied.

I love my HP M479dw color laser printer. It's the best printer I've her owned however the replacement cartridges for this printer are 50-150% more than either of my previous two HP Laser printers.There's nothing special about these cartridges ... I'm sure they have the same toner as my other HP laser printers and they print about the same number of pages per cartridge so I don't now why they are so expensive.Overall I will reluctantly keep buying these expensive printer cartridges because they are 100% compatible, genuine HP toner so they won't damage my machine and convenient door to door Amazon Prime delivery. Yes and Five starts to all those features ... when it comes to price HP gets 1 star for these cartridges.
