Please NOTE: 1.Adjust the gain of the Mixer to the minimum before use the Microphone Booster ; 2.TURN ON 48V phantom power switch,must offer 48 volts of phantom power; 3. Then slowly increase the gain and volume until the volume is appropriate.
Requires 48V Phantom Power
Perfect for dynamic and passive ribbon mics.Does not work with condenser mics.

I don't know if it was a defective item but it would not click to any cable or mic, no matter how strong I tried to make it "click". Other boosters of the like connect securely without problem. I had to return it and the return process was smooth without problem. Can't recommend it.

I got miss shipped a wrong item then shipped the right item but it doesn't work and frankly I'm done trying to deal with this company. Too much hassle ik done I'll just buy the dynamite stick I should've bought in the first place

Not sure why but I was expecting this to be bigger--that's not a complaint.This does exactly what it says and how. Place this between your passive mic and preamp, give it phantom power and it boosts your signal by 28dB. I didn't measure out exactly how much of a boost it gave my mic but it was very noticeable and didn't add any noise.I have never needed a device like this before and it's the only one I've ever used so I have nothing to compare it to. The price was good (I guess) and it does what I need. I'm very happy with this purchase.Package comes with the dynamic mic amp, a little storage pouch, and instruction/info leaflet.

Plug-in once I received it but no sound at all. May be faulty unit. I don’t want to take another chance. Wasting my time for ordering and returning it.

Use this with a Samson Q9U - gives a great boost to the signal while being essentially invisible in terms of distortion or noise. Excellent product for a really good competitive price.

Sensitive to RF, tried using in a marine application on a low impedance pilot house annunciation mic to better drive a long balanced cable to a PA system. When installed, keying a VHF handheld radio a few feet away caused nasty audible noise. Without it (and taking into account the gain difference), this problem did not exist.Might be OK in an RF-free environment, but I can not recommend installing this anywhere radios are likely to be used.No assessment of fidelity or actual gain was made, due to the interference issue.
