I needed a small battery maintainer for my motorcycle and RV batteries to keep them in good condition over the winter months, and this one does the job perfectly. Small, compact, easy to use, and comes with all the necessary fittings.

Got it as a backup tender for my motorcycle during winter storage.Very easy installation, and then just plug and play.Canât say itâs better than my Battery Tender Jr. and canât speak much to the duration of it, as it as only tested for a short period of time (a couple weeks)I wish the cord was longer, I donât like using extension cords with battery tenders, so my preference if to plug it in straight to the wall. The cord is kinda short, so the bike needs to be parked right up against my wall.

A battery maintainer will not only keep your battery in peak charge so it's ready when you are but they will extend the life of the battery substantially. I have a similar maintainer rated at the same 750ma on my classic car. Hard to believe but that Optima Gell Cell battery is now 18 years old and still cranks the high-compression 390 with no problem. I do, however, keep it on the maintainer at all times, not just off season. I also had a 1985 Honda 350FLR ATV that would need its battery replaced every 2 years without a maintainer on it. The last battery I bought for it I also bought a maintainer - that battery lasted 7 years. But again, if I'm not using a vehicle for even a short time I plug the maintainer in - year round.This NEXPEAK Battery maintain/charger has the same features and output as the my others. It's hooked up to a vehicle now and working just fine. The all-weather feature is really nice as my others are indoor only. This comes with two ways to hook it up to your baattery, either with clamps or a permanet mount. I use the permanent style mount on my vehicles but the clamps work well and are convenient for portability. I would prefer a longer power cord, this is about 3 feet, twice that would be nice but that's a minor detail. The price on this NEXPEAK is affordable too. Batteries are too expensive these days, get a maintainer and extend the life, you'll be glad you did.

This is an easy 5 star review for me, and I'm pretty darn stingy with my 5 star reviews. When charging a battery, the slower you charge (within reason) the better to create a strong, lasting charge. After testing out a few others chargers that were ironically more expensive, it seemed like the battery I was trying to revive would get weak again rather quickly, and after charging on my other chargers it would be pretty darn warm to the touch, which is not what you want. I got this Nexpeak charger on a whim, and Step 1 hooked my battery up to a Desulfator for 24 hours, and Step 2 hooked it up to this Nexpeak trickle charger and forgot about the battery for about 4 days till the weekend came. Saturday morning took the Nexpeak off and hooked the battery up to a battery analyzer. The analyzer read 99% battery health! Absolutely insane considering the battery I revived was a very much dead a 6 year old battery! I'm a believer. Invest in this amazing little trickle charger and also a Battery Desulfator and you'll be able to revive old crappy batteries from my personal experience.
