I originally ordered a top-of-the-line compass very similar to this one, but for some reason, it was declared undeliverable. After being refunded by Amazon, I ordered this one as s replacement. This was a failure right out of the box. I used the electronic compass on my phone to judge the accuracy of this one, with my phone set at o degrees @true North, I placed this one next to and set it to true north, there is about a 20-25 degree error in this baseplate compass. It seems the inclination needle binds the orientation needle so it is unable to rotate freely. I hope no one is ever lost in the woods and has to depend on this to find their way. Spend the money for an accurate baseplate compass.

This is a good quality compass. Very well crafted and put together. Have not truly tested it yet but seems very accurate so far. Good buy.

Very good quality easy to use accurate function is good I like declination great value for the money.Just starting out out on how to really use a compass.

Decent quality for the price. Mirror came with protective film and gives a very nice reflection. Lanyard/necklace is a nice addition as well. Will make a solid addition to the hiking gear.

Decent compass for the price. Build quality is so so. It has the ability to adjust declination, but you have to loosen a tiny screw to do so, and it feels kind of fiddly. Good starter compass.
