Nope, they don't do what is advertised. Buy string at the dollar store for the same results. Just a waste of money and time. However it's a really good business to get into. Thin rope for 8x the value. Does not work even when following directions

The product description in the pictures say that their products are only polyester because cotton is bad, but they are selling cotton wicks? Lol what? Or am i just missing something?

So far it worked perfectly. No leakage issues. But we only had it set up for a few days, and have left for seven weeks. We can let you know what we found when we get back if someone is interested.Gave only four stars because the trial is not complete.

The ORIMERC 120 feet 4mm Self Watering Capillary Wick has been a fantastic addition to my plant care routine. It waters my plants better than I ever could, keeping them healthy and happy. I no longer have to worry about overwatering or underwatering.I originally got it for vacations, but now I use it all the time because it works so well. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their plants in great shape.

Went away for one week in mid August (hot and dry weather). Wasn't sure how to care for my potted tomato plants. Came across this item and purchased it. These cords work! Came home and my plants were in perfect condition.

This wicking cord served its purpose beautifully. It's not a complicated product, unless you get into the nuances of manufacturing and particular fibers used. However, that being said--it works, and works well! I do not know of anyone that would purchase something like this with the intention of it looking "pretty" though. I'm fairly certain there is some crafty person out there that could manage it! DIY wicking rigs can be as basic as a bucket and this cord (which is about how my experience has been) or a bit more complicated (which mine may be down the road). I can see using this wicking cord, potentially, at the bottom of seedling pots to help keep them properly moist.Pros: It works well for its intended purpose and it is reusable!Cons: It will discolor depending on what is in your water and soil. It is also a bit of a guessing game with how long you need the cord to be for your plant, strongly recommend doing a few practice runs to be sure it is working for you as needed.

Follow the instructions for this one - gravity is your enemy! To get this working exactly the way I wanted it, I had to play with several ideas:- the height of the water source compared to the plant- can the water source be lower? Yes, but not too far.- length of cord, double cords, knots in the cord, dips in the cord, amount of water - all sorts of methods for managing the water wicking flow.Give yourself some time to test this so you get it right. I find this works well with my smaller plants and those that need less water.Good Luck!
