This product is great for my 94 year old father. Simple and easy to turn it on and off. I wonder if there is a similar product, but its size is smaller and can be carried around for seniors to walk and listen to music?

Great idea and good quality, allows my dad to listen to music again since he can’t operate a normal radio anymore. We did take off the music that came with it (he’s in his 80s but the music on there was from before his day) But it was pretty easy to add songs that he would enjoy. Sound quality is very good.

This is a nice unit, sound quality is pretty good and it has lots of volume. My mother in law with dimentia really likes it. It has lots of capacity for more songs than we will ever need. The only improvement I can think of is to make the volume control easier to get to - maybe big buttons on the top. Having said that though, mother in law has never mentioned that she wishes she could adjust volume.

Decent, but expensive, music player for folks who need a simple way to play music. It's a nice looking unit with a green pleather exterior, and has a simple play/pause mechanic where you lift a flap to play/pause, and press the button underneath the flap to skip to the next track. The flap feels pretty flimsy, and I'm worried a hard open or close will snap it off, but so far, so good.You can use headphones or the built-in speaker for playback, and the storage capacity is somewhat limited (4GB). Transferring music takes forever, and requires the odd USB-A male to USB-A cable male that isn't terribly common. Volume controls are not easily manipulated (which is a pita, but understandable given the intended audience).It does the job, and lives up to its name, but it's a pricey piece of kit for a small amount of storage and brutal USB data transfer performance.

My mom loves it. I did have trouble loading music that she would like. Formatting from a mac using iTunes is not recommended as most of the music I wanted to transfer was protected and unable to change format.My son did it using his Microsoft computer.Not sure how but he did! Hope that helps some.

Bought this for a Christmas present. It comes with what looks like a USA plug, so useless for UK use. Amazon should not sell it on this site. And I think it's illegal to sell electrical equipment with incorrect plugs for power.

My mom's eyesight has been declining very rapidly recently, and she was no longer able to navigate around her computer to listen to podcasts and other audio materials. With this device I can load up more than enough material to keep her busy for hours, and she finds it incredibly easy to use, avoiding all the frustrations she has been having with most other technology. The only downside is that it's geared to seniors with dimentia, and the volume control is virtually impossible to access by someone with poor eyesight.

It's so "simple" to use! I highly recommend it for people with dementia and special needs adults or children. Normal radios and music players were to confusing for my mom to operate. She has moderate dementia and loves listening to her music. The labels that come with the box are in English and several other languages which is wonderful. I put on the English and German labels for her. There wasn't any label for the black skip button though, I have to make one to remind mom. I tell every one know about this fantastic invention! The only glitch I have run into is I can't load songs with my Chrome laptop and my Android phone. Loading the songs with my desktop was pretty easy. I need to contact the company and see if there is a way to use anything other than the desktop. The music seems to calm mom down and I don't want to take it away to load more songs. This is a great piece of equipment. Well worth the money. It sounds really good and feels sturdy. We've had it for 2 months, so far so good!

Thank you SMPL one touch music player, the Sidify app and & Amazon Prime Music Unlimited for making music possible for Alzheimer’s & Dementia patients to easily Enjoy! easy for our friend with dementia to use. We used an app called Sidify (which is the best app because it is compatible with Amazon Prime Music Unlimited which is a must-have) to transfer songs To mp3 format) and it was wonderful sound!

I purchased this for my mom who has dementia, songs are easy to download as this is a MP3 player. Big clear sounds and easy to control volume. This has given my mom a sense of co trip back, best thing you load songs that she used to listen to. Music therapy is great for muscle memory. When I go to visit I can here her singing from her room while she colours.Best investment I’ve made towards helping her.

Pros - My husband has Alzheimer's disease and loves the ease of use and selection of music on this device. He plays it several times a day, and it helps him stay down for the count at the end of the day by listening to a couple of tunes after lights out at night.Cons - The volume does not go low enough, or stay at it's lowest volume. At night we've had to place a book in front of the speaker.Also it would've been nice to get a list of the songs on the playlist and the names of the singers or bands because my husband repeatedly asks who is singing and would love to get confirmation of who he guesses is singing.
