For membrane, this keyboard sounds great, really good solidness and great RGB.Considering it was £47 this is an incredible keyboard.

I bought this for my teenage son for his gaming rig. It looks great and the RGB matches his mouse and fans. The keyboard is solid as you would expect from the brand. The keyboard has been used daily for a few months now and it's shown no issues.

I had an old cheap membrane keyboard that I replaced with a decent mechanical keyboard. I did enjoy the feel of mechanical keyboards, but the noise they make is absolutely annoying. I had to keep my office door closed to not disturb my family when typing, so i was looking for a good quiet keyboard. All the reviews indicated this SteelSeries Apex 3 was the way to go and I have to say its a no brainer looking back. This is a membrane keyboard, but typing feel is great. The best part is its whisper quiet. It's not silent, but it is about as quiet a keyboard as I have ever typed on and my typing accuracy is great. It drives me crazy typing on cheap membrane keyboards normally, but this model has really changed my mind. It includes simple cable management with a good length to connect to your computer.I can live without the RGB. It is kind of nice in a darker room and the SteelSeries universal software is easy enough to set the RGB just how you want it. I have a SteelSeries Rival mouse with matching RGB now, so maybe it is growing on me.Probably my favorite feature are the added media controls. On the top right corner there is a little scroll wheel which can quickly adjust the volume up and down with. Better yet, press the scroll wheel to quickly mute. There is also a lighted button just beneath that will pause and un-pause video. These simple features have become something I use regularly as I don't need to use a mouse to find the options to make these adjustments now.Not only is the keyboard quiet and great to type on, but you get solid easy to adjust RGB, and these very handy media controls, all for about $70 (or less on sale). This keyboard won't sway any mechanical keyboard diehards, but if you want a budget feature rich keyboard which is great to type on and doesn't wake your neighbors, you won't find a better option!

I decided to ditch the full keyboard for a TKL one for ergonomic reasons. I'm not a keyboard enthusiast, just need something that works and with some backlighting since sometimes I use it in low light settings. I wanted membrane because they tend to be cheaper and quieter than mechanical and also I'm totally fine with the feel of a membrane keyboard. I actually had a hard time finding a quality membrane TKL keyboard because most of them seem to be mechanical and at a higher price range then I wanted to spend (at least for quality brands). Then I found the SteelSeries Apex 3 TKL. I like SteelSeries stuff. They keyboard looks nice, it is membrane, and it was pretty affordable. So I got it and definitely no regrets! It fit the bill perfectly! Looks and feels good. I like the volume knob. The media button works well enough. The backlighting works well and is fairly configurable with the SteelSeries GG application. I do have some complaints. The GG application key remapping functionality is limited. Fortunately I can use the Windows 11 powertoy app for this. I also feel like they under-utilized the special "SteelSeries" key. I wish I can combine that key with the function and Mx keys for more functionality but that is not supported which is a bummer. I also miss a dedicated PrintScreen button since I use that button a lot. I had to create a special key mapping for PrintScreen functionality. But overall, I'm a fan of this keyboard. Hard to get a better quality membrane TKL keyboard for the price.

Edit: After a month, or so, with this keyboard I have started to notice that the keys seem to have a sharp edge and the keys are very sensitive, meaning that I have frequently a double type letter. I still like the keyboard a lot, but there is another annoying point I want to make: you cannot see your upper case light, it is hidden under the M1 key, hence you need to lean even further over the keyboard, which makes the typing experience worse.I have come to the conclusion that I will be looking for a different keyboard. This keyboard is great for gaming, the keys are perfectly spaced out for my larger hands. I will say it to start with it, I found I will have to sit much closer to the desk as the keyboard is high. It does not hinder too much, but I will need to order a place to rest my hands. Also, the caps key light seems to be hidden, I finally located it, no illuminated enough and placed at an odd spot. This is what is called a "tenkey" keyboard, and it is easy to create macros to assign in a game. The lighting is great, but I turned the flashy gaming thing off to a solid colour that is easy on the eyes. The USB cable is nice and long, good quality and overall the whole keyboard shouts quality build. It is height adjustable as well.Typing for longer times on it reminds me of that good old IBM keyboard.Great all round gaming keyboard and can be used for office work as well.

The keyboard is amazing. It has per key illumination which the software is very cool with.It gets recognised by signal rgb software so it syncs everything together. The feel is good it has mechanical clicks with membrane so doesn't feel like your bottoming out the keys.
