I love this compass. It is solid to hold, I love the Thoreau quote, and the glass crystal in the middle of the indicator but best of all I find it accurate. I like that you can lock the indicator in place so you can carry it without causing damage. It is a great value for the price.

He loved it!!My only critique was the pointer didn't settle down to my preference. Wiggled/bounced.But he LOVES it.
