Work With Mechanical Lockset:

Wiring Diagram:
- Fail-Secure lock needs to be wired to NO and COM contact of the access control system. (Other parts shown on this photo are not included.)
- Powered by a solenoid, not a buzzer coil.
- Non-polarized connection
Installtion:
- Suitable for metal and wooden door frame

No Polarity Requirement:
- Uses 2-contacts, non-polarized connect to access control or egress device.
Tips:
- 1N4004 Diode: Prevent high voltage to two ends of the electronic lock while the contact of access control unit relay disconnect. Without diode, there will be high voltage pulse interference to circuits and the life time of the access control unit relay will be greatly reduced.
- This lock will be polarized when the 1N4004 diode wired.

Replaced an obsolete Strike Lock and modified door opening. Does the job and tested by several tenants who now feel more secure. If someone wants to enter building, they can use the buzzer from apartment.

We bought this to replace the 30 year old strike lock having almost identical design. The product arrives in an excellent shape and works like a charm. All dimensions are exactly as advertised.Requires a minor modification to our wooden frame to fit properly.All hardware was included. The installation instructions are very clear with a template for a new installation. In our case, it was not needed.Quality of the product is very good and we expect it to last longtime for a home use. Time will certainly tell.Cost is more than reasonable. Mind you, we were very happy to find it as our local hardware stores don't seem to hold any, judging from their on-line catalog. The cost is a nice plus.Highly recommended.

Ive used a couple of these and they work great. Easy to install, and no issues with them working. IN both my installs I had to cut the jamb to fit it, but install was a breeze and it works perfectly.If I have one complaint, its too quiet when it activates, barely audible. but that does not prevent it from working.

Seller was just amazing to work with. I bought 4 of these, 3 of them worked fine but 1 was defective. I was in the middle of construction on my business so I didn't get around to installing them for several months. When I found that one wasn't working right I thought I was going to be out of luck, but the seller was incredible and shipped out a new one for me right away even though it had been so long. Very happy with their service! Also the product works great, it's very well made, nice and heavy duty. Should last for a long time.
