Bought this to replace the baby monitor in our daughters bedroom. It's so much better and so much cheaper. We now get crystal clear picture and can just watch on our phones.

The cameras are great and seem to hold up well. Clear picture and sound. The app is a but much though, there are so many ads. I have selected to opt out of promotional ads, but still have to watch 2 videos to even open the app. I am considering buying a different brand just because of the shear irritation of having to watch video ads just to open the app.

Great value. Good picture quality. Good sound. Mic a little echoy, easy setup. Free app. Motion detection and night vision. Bought 3 now. App could be a bit better. But happy for the price

Really love these cameras.CAMERA: Very good frame, you can choose HD quality and has a great night vision. Charging cord is long enough to set up camera high and get the biggest frame possible.SET UP: was easy : connect to your regular wifi (not 5G), scan the QR code to download the app (YiHome), plug in the camera, you’ll see the connection on the app.FREE/PAY : The free version lets you see the camera in live, so you can see the frame in the present moment but not record. To record and have access to footage you have to pay a monthly or yearly fee. There are 4options to choose from ($CAD per year) : entry 53$ (1camera, 7day history, records activity only), CVR 109$ (1camera, 7day history, always records), standard 135$ (5cameras, 15days history, records activity and AI detection), plus 175$ (5cameras, 30day history, records activity and AI detection).I tried standard but the ‘activity only recording’ never recorded video movement from my cats or my dad in the frame, it only recorded audio activity like talking. I then switched to CVR which worked perfectly, all the time recording and access to the footage, but you can’t choose to have access to the footage longer than 7days and have to buy the monthly or yearly fee for every camera you want the recording on, which can become pricey.TRAVEL: I bought these for travelling and it worked amazing, not one issue and I was 13h flight away, so i guess it works anytime anywhere.NOTIFS: you can choose to have notifications on or off for when activity is detected by the camera. There is an ‘absent mode’ which should not alert you of activity if you’re home but it didn’t work for me so I would turn off notifs when I’m home.OVERALL I recommend cause it’s a great camera and worked perfectly for my 2week trip cause I paid for 1month 2 cameras and can use it as live footage from now on. However for a 24h surveillance security system working in my entire home for an entire year I would find it too pricey overtime to pay the fee for each camera and too bothering to have to switch off notifications every time I’m home.

The premise of a wireless camera is that the device is not beholden to any wires other than the power cable. Indeed, this is the allure of a wireless camera. Unfortunately, if the camera is unable to connect to a wifi access point, all advantages of a wireless device are lost.Such is the case with the Yi camera for which I had high hopes. To be clear, the low price of the device was the main selling point but there were other attractive features that suggested that this device could compete with other prominent cameras. These features include notification, audio communication, night vision, control and access via an app, security features and more.The purchase of this device was not simply made on a whim. I had already opened a Yi camera which I had been using for at least 4 if not more years and it continues to deliver great value. Why would a second camera be any less of a worthy purchase. Yet, the device failed to impress almost immediately out of the box. While the set up went smoothly in my kitchen, once I relocated the device to is desired spot, it failed to connect. Puzzled, I took it back into the house and tried reconnecting it in a variety of locations. None worked except the original location. It was so bad that I even called Amazon and returned it and chalked it up to a bad device.Sadly, my hopes were short lived. My second experience was equally as poor as my first experience and the results were almost identical.Full disclosure: I have a very robust wifi system in my house and I have 3 access points. The spot where I tried to mount my camera gets strong wifi reception in my phone but it's unable to be detected in the camera.Summary/too long didn't read: the price point is about the only attractive feature of this device.

Facil de instalar, por su tamaño es facil de colorcar en cualquier rincon o superficie, la calidad de imagen es muy muy buena y se puede hacer amoliacion de zoom libremente. La alerta de deteccion de movimiento llega practicamente unos 2-3 segundos posterior a la detección, no pago la suscripcion pero te llega video de unos 8 segundos de actividad detectada, se puede grabar en vivo. El angulo de vision es amplio y cubre gran amplitud. La vision nocturna es de buena calidad Lo malo es que no tiene AI que diferencie los movimientos, ya que se activa alerta en mi caso cuando esta la vision noctura y un mosquito/mosca pasa cerca de la camara manda alerta de movimiento detectado, la bocina y microfono funciona decente. Por el precio creo es una buena opcion.
