Love that it's clay and that you can use different size bottles, from a small plastic bottle to a big glass wine bottle. Make sure to soak it first and then add the filled bottle. It slowly waters my larger plants and is nice when going away

I needed these for my outdoor hanging plants - the idea of them is great but, wine bottles when full of water are heavy. As the wind would blow the spikes would work their way out because the wine bottle would sway around.I think inside or if outside, in a stationary plant these would work best

I've bought a few of these now and they work brilliantly! Sometimes i'm not home for a few weeks and was concerned my plants would die before returning. Happy to say that's not the case with this product. Because of the amount of time i'm gone, 1 week with a 750 ml bottle just would not work. So I tried a 1.5L plastic bottle. (Plastic to keep the weight down) I find if I water generously beforehand, then add the 1.5L and factor in a few days dry out time before the plant is in any real danger, I can get about 2.5 to 3 weeks with the house being a temp of around 21 centigrade. I'm sure a 2Ltr would result in longer away times, but my space for a bottle is limited. Im also happy with the gnat situation or lack thereof. I was concerned this product might leave the soil super wet attracting gnats. This has not been the case.

Got this pair of terra cotta stakes to help out plants that were struggling in a poor location. I followed the recommendations to soak them in water beforehand, because terra cotta holds water. Added a glass bottle of water, and then buried them. So far, they seem to be really helping! Will also be very handy if I cannot water my plans for a few days.

Love the concept and the aesthetic, unfortunately I found out they break pretty easily while trying to adjust one with a bottom still in. Learn from my mistake 😅

These spikes are really easy to use and the wine bottles keep watering my shrubs for about two weeks.

This is a nifty idea. It works very well, kind of like magic. I find that a regular wine bottle will do the trick, and when filled to the brim will last about 4-5 days, even a week in a pinch.What I like most about it is that it's not made out of plastic: it's fired clay, similar to traditional flower pots.The only downside that I could find is that the stakes are quite large, both in diameter and in length. This means that it won't fit in smaller flower pots, so it's really only suitable for larger pots, or outdoors. With this caveat, I highly recommend this device.
