I run a toddler/preschool music program and we go through and purchase a lot of instruments like these. These are equal in quality to the majority of these we get. This style of maraca is perfect for our use—a nice size and weight for even little kiddos but big enough for parents to use, too, and easy to clean. They can break if misused but have held up well to weeks of regular use so far. The jingle bells are nice, sewn well and none of the bells have come loose. The eggs are similar to the maracas in quality—the one caution with these is I would suggest using these with kids that are not prone to putting things in their mouths. I’ve had the heart-stopping experience of seeing a 2-year-old get an entire one of these in her mouth, which could easily have blocked her throat. I use larger shaker eggs for the littlest kids and keep these for bigger kiddos. Other than that, this is a great set!

I got these to add to my collection of percussion instruments. I was pleasantly surprised at how good they sound. I was afraid that being kid's instruments they might not be so good. These sound almost as good as my 'real' instruments and seem very well-made. The plastic shakers are made of good heavy-duty plastic and filled with a nice-sounding filler inside. The bells are a lot better than I expected, too. They are nice and heavy and give good sound.
