The description says 44 pages, but they count both sides. I was expecting 44 individual pages per book but it's 22. The quality is so good that I'd still very much recommend.

I've been using this for a few weeks and don't have any complains. The paper is thick and good for watercoloring. Have not experienced any bleedthrough.

Honestly, I did not expect much from these watercolor journals, especially because they were so reasonably priced, but I'm a sucker for an art journal so I took the leap. The paper is very nice quality, doesn't buckle out of control when wet, and you really can paint on both sides of each sheet. The fact that they lay flat when open is nice and makes it easy to paint across two pages if you want. The finish is very smooth, like hot-press watercolor paper, which I like, but if you're looking for a paper with some "tooth", this isn't for you. Otherwise, I highly recommend these and I will definitely be purchasing them again.

I was very surprised at the quality of the paper. The leather covers are nice. Book opens flat to paint easily. Paper itself is nice and thick.

I shuddered when I saw POTENTATE printed on the spine as I had gotten a small Potentate book claiming to be cotton a while ago I promptly threw out. This paper is different. It has pronounced texture and colors look nice on it as well as granulation. I only swatched some colors so not sure how it handles wet into wet or lifting or scrubbing but for sketches they are a nice little bargain.I also happen to be a big fan of this style of binding. The books lay really flat.
