I have two snowmobiles that both have battery tethers ,that i use to trickle charge them. The temperature can get as low as -40 degrees Celsius . This keeps the patties at full power. The battery post are no excusable to jump start the sleds. I used this reverse tether so for an emergency purpose. If one sled battery died I can use the tethers to jump start the other sled! , with out having to remove the exhaust pipe and all the spring asemble....and battery cover. If the one sled battery dies out in the bush, ....and who knows what the temperature would be. Just quick plug in with this polarity changer,...."boom", Bobs your Uncle and i have an emergence start for the dead sled.

I purchased these as when I used a splitter to join two solar panels to charge a single battery, the polarity was reversed. Rather than have the wrong colored wires going to the positive and negative battery terminals I preferred correcting the issue with this adapter. It is simple, it will avoid confusion in the future, and it works.
